Mitr was a popular Thai action movie star who lost his life in a freak accident while filming a stunt on Dongtan Beach. People pray at the shrine for good luck and fortune. “I Did It My Way”. I was pleasantly woken by this song, then Volare, and other lounge classics preformed Gypsy Kings style by the lounge band “The Kings”. They perform on Sunday Afternoons at the cafe bistro next door to the BB House Inn, where my window overlooks the very popular Sandbar By The Sea restaurant. I get to hear excellent nightly live entertainment for free! Now that it’s off season, the room has dropped from $23 to $16.50 a night, and is right on beautiful, quiet, Dongtan Beach, Thailand.
