Cruisy Corner 4am. Well, all of Thailand is cruisy, but especially very late at the corner of Thaphraya where it curves and becomes Jomtien Beach Road. Near the 7-Eleven – oh rite, every corner has a 7-Eleven. The one near the police box. Tonight there was a particularly cute claque of gay princesses holding court, flirting, and being flamboyant. About half of them suddenly dashed into a big van being driven by a huge, rotund Russian bear, driving off into the sultry night. Durian, The Forbidden Fruit. I finally tried it! Not bad once you get past the, sniff sniff, smell. The thick, prickly rind is discarded, the inside tastes like banana, but sweeter and creamier. They can grow to enormous proportions, like pumpkins. Due to the strong, acrid, permeating, odoriferous stench, they’re banned from hotels and public areas. The TBF snuck this one in, and force fed me while cackling along with another Thai variety comedy show. #thaiboyfriend #thailife #thaifood #peculiartastes
