“My American Dream Sounds Like Nina Simone”

Happy 4th of July.  I found this piece today on NPR.  Nearly every gay man my age (50+) knows and loves the music of Nina Simone.  It’s defiance, and it’s message of freedom and justice, resonate with our age group, who’ve had our own struggles for freedom and justice.
