There’s always fresh flowers on the table at “Minh’s Garden”. I bet they are picked from the family garden.

Out on Clement Ave near 3rd Ave, this family owned Vietnamese restaurant has been feeding San Franciscans excellent food at very low prices for years.

My favorite is the boneless trout pan fried with ginger and onions, the coconut curry prawns, and the imperial rolls.

This group of happy little monks can be found partying it up at the “Oriental Garden Restaurant and Guest House”, in charming Chiang Mai, Thailand.

At just $14 us per night, the rooms are clean, basic, and a great bargain.  The toilet flushes, the shower is hot, and the ac works!

The best part about this place is the food.  The place is busy every night, and the food is fantastic and cheap.

My favorite dish was the chile fried fish.  A whole fish fried nice and crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, and smothered in an exotic tamarind garlic chile and ginger sauce.

I love elephants!  This caught my eye one day, it’s in the display window of the “Golden Phoenix” antiques and gift shop, at the world famous Parliament House Resort in Orlando, Florida.  This shop is filled with glitzy, shiny, glamourous, kitchy chachka.

The items in the shop are all donated, and the proceeds go to AIDS charities.  I bought a $129 elephant lamp for just $39!  The porcelain elephant statue was a bit too steep, and I passed on the $29 Cartier knock-off spider bracelet.
