Bootie SF Pre-Pride Party Featuring The Monster Show @ DNA Lounge :: June 22, 2013
The universe’s greatest mash-up party brought Cookie Dough and her Monster Show to the stage for their special PRIDE edition drag extravaganza. The statuesque Roxy-Cotten Candy dazzled the packed house with her over the top recycled fashion wear. Here’s a link to the original assignment in the nightlife section of EdgeSanFrancisco.com. Promoter/dj Adrian Roberts gives Cookie a high five after the Grand Finale
Do you have the proper underwear for watching Cookie Dough and the Monster Show on Thursdays at the Edge Bar in SF CA? You never know who may try to pick you up in there. As a special thank you treat to my viewers who’ve made it this far down in the post, please enjoy my sexy underwear slide show-a-rama. I’ve curated the brands and styles with the raciest pictures! You’d be surprised what they get away with showing on Amazon these days, and yes! I’m an affiliate. Why not treat yourself, your special someone, or your special private dancer with a sexy pair of underthings?
I left my home in Florida, because I knew I’d end up either dead or in jail. I was flamboyant, and dated black guys. Thirty five years later and Trayvon Martin shows that not much has changed.
Most of my new friends here were also exiles from intolerant homelands, like Tennessee, Texas, and Utah. This song resonated and became our favorite chill out song for a couple of months. Somewhere after Joni Mitchell’s Hissing of Summer Lawns, and before Nina Simone’s Wild Is The Wind album.
Out takes from THE event I look forward to shooting the most: “Flagging In The Park”. A semi-monthly summertime pic nic and aerobics workout for fan dancers, flaggers, hoopers, poi spinners, and any and all forms of “flow” artistry. Click on any of the pictures to see my gallery of over 341 flagtastic photos from the June 9th, 2013 fun raiser. More info and links below…
The event is held in the National Aids Memorial Grove in Golden Gate Park, a spectacular meadow spread across the bottom of a small canyon, surrounded by redwoods and protected from the winds and the fog.
I like to think of it as a rave, except a slightly older, gayer crowd. Most of the attendees are veterans of the 80’s and 90’s club scene, when fanning and flagging played a prominent role.
The music was fantastic, this being my favorite track from an entire afternoon of delightful dance and house music from dj Steve Sherwood.

The biggest names in SF drag came out to the Edge Bar to celebrate Cookie Dough’s drag daughter Crafty Dough’s birthday. Heklina, Honey Mahogany, Roxy Cotton Candy, Grace Towers, Bebe Sweetbriar, and Sue Casa put on a show that caused at least one bar patron to go ape.

The Monster Show is hosted every Thursday by Cookie Dough at the Edge Bar in SF CA. She’s joined by a cast of monstrous talent and puts on a full evening of awe inspiring, raucous, bawdy, cutting edge drag. Dj MC2 spins the tunes, accompanied by hot porn-a-go-gos.
